1) INSPECT YOUR TIRES
Check your tire tread and pressure to ensure they are in good condition. You can find your pressure specifications on the placard inside the door jamb. If your tread is looking worn, replace your tires to keep your vehicles braking ability, handling, and safety in top condition.
2) CHECK YOUR BRAKES
Brakes should be inspected at least twice a year to keep them in peak condition. Before you head out on that road trip, make sure your brake pads aren't worn out and that the discs are in good condition.
3) CHECK YOUR FLUIDS
The fluids in your vehicle cool, lubricate, and keep your vehicle running. Have your engine oil, coolant, brake, and transmission fluids checked in your service appointment.
4) CHECK ALL OF THE VEHICLE LIGHTS
As the evening falls you will find yourself driving in the dark more often. Take a few minutes to check all of your interior and exterior lights to confirm they are working correctly. If a light isn't working, it is usually due to a burned out bulb. If that doesn't correct the problem, the team at Kerry Chevrolet can help troubleshoot the problem.
5) TEST THE BATTERY
The temperature changes can be tough on your battery, in some areas more than winter, so have your battery checked during your service appointment. If you need a new battery, our team can help you out with that.
6) TEST YOUR A/C
Air conditioning systems always seem to break down at the worst time. Stay ahead and get your air-conditioning system checked before the temperatures heat up.
7) REPLACE WIPER BLADES
Make sure you have good visibility by changing out your wiper blades. Dust, thunderstorms, and warmer temperatures can wear out wiper blades so make sure to check your wiper blades and replace as needed.
8) TAKE CARE OF ROUTINE SERVICES
Have you been keeping up with the routine service schedule? This is a great time to get your car up to date with routine maintenance recommended in the owner's manual.
